Keanu Reeves: Love Bites!

The New Keanu Is To Die For!

With Francis Ford Coppola's hit movie Bram Stoker's Dracula being such a hit, Keanu Reeves is once again front and center. As "Jonathan Harker" Keanu has to fight the dark forces of the vampire Dracula for the life and love of "Mina" played by Winona Ryder. If you haven't seen the movie, run, run, run...

But for now, TM wants to give you some "Love Bites" from the guy who's Hawaiian name means "a cool breeze over the mountain"

What was it like playing "Jonathan Harker" in Dracula?
[Jonathan] is an earnest, humble, pure man. He's fun to play. And I'm working with some of the best actors around. "It was an amazing part to be offered, and I've had some of the best days of my life on this film"

What does fame mean to you?
I don't want to be super famous, man. That would be awful!

When you were a little kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A race car driver or an inventor.

What historical character would you like to bring to the big screen?
The French poet Rimbaud. He sort of appeals to my self-destructive, artistic, cool kind of deep side.

What is the most romantic thing you like to do on a date?
To me, the best thing in the world is to watch the sun set with my girl.

What do you think of all the hype of your Bill & Ted films?
Just like some people are remembered for playing Mercutio [in Romeo and Juliet], when my life is over, I'll be remembered for playing Ted.... The Bill and Ted dolls stink and that bugs me... The Bill and Ted cereal is cool. It's a pretty good chew!

What's your philosophy of life?
If you find some valid way to live, go for it, as long as you're not hurting anybody.

Do you cry?
I don't cry much in real life. But I kind of like to suffer. People don't respect artists who don't suffer.

(on another occasion)

I'm a crybaby, man. I cried three time [last night]. Once I cried over beauty, once I cried over pain, and the other time I cried because I felt nothing. I can't help it, man. I'm just a cliche of myself.... I'm kidding. I didn't cry at all. I haven't cried for a long time.
