Hunky Keanu's gay play debut
by Andy Coulson
These are pictures that could shatter the illusions of millions of teenage girls.
They show movie heart-throb Keanu Reeves in a tender embrace - with a man.
The 29-year-old star of Speed and Dracula caressed young actor Carl Marotte in publicity photos for a steamy low-budget play called Wolfboy.
Staged in Toronto, the production was Keanu's first acting job ten years ago.
He played a gay deliquent who has a relationship with a boy in reform school.
Hundreds of posters of the explicit pictures were plastered around Toronto and have since become collector's items.
Photographer David Hlynsky said: "The city's gay community was turned on by Keanu and still are. I know he and his mother Patricia were happy with the pictures because she told me so."
This is not Keanu's only gay role - he played a prostitute in the 1992 film My Own Private Idaho.
