Keanu recovering from motorcycle accident
LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Keanu Reeves is doing well after breaking his ankle in a motorcycle accident.
Reeves, 31, underwent surgery Monday to remove a bone fragment, and was expected to be released from the hospital as early as today, said Gwyn Dilday, spokeswoman for Queen of Angels Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center.
Police said Reeves was driving his motorcycle on Sunset Boulevard Sunday night and swerved to avoid a vehicle that pulled out from the curb. He missed that vehicle and slammed into another, police spokesman Vince Aguirre said.
"The accident was not his fault," Reeves' publicist Tracy Mosh said.
She added that Reeves was "recovering well and will be recuperating at home for the next several weeks."
Reeves starred in "Speed" and recently filmed "Chain Reaction," due out in August.
