Keanu signs up for comedy

Keanu Reeves keeps adding more projects to his plate.

Reeves has agreed to star in "The Ottoman Empire," a comedy that follows a New Jersey salesman who's hiding a dark secret, Yahoo.uk reports.

Andrew Bergman ("Striptease", "Honeymoon in Vegas"), who wrote the script, will direct the film for Columbia Pictures. "Ottoman" is scheduled to begin shooting this summer.

Before Reeves even has time to think about starting Bergman's film though, he'll be busy working on Sam ("Evil Dead") Raimi's "The Gift" and Pat ("Inventing the Abbotts") O'Connor's "Sweet November".

On top of of all his other projects, Reeves plans to spend next winter on a marathon 250-day shoot for a pair of sequels to last year's hit "The Matrix".
