Hungry one afternoon last year when he was shooting "Sweet November" in San Francisco, Keanu Reeves pulled his motorcycle up in front of the Nob Hill Cafe and asked the woman sitting outside if the restaurant was open. It wasn't, said Heather Carola, an opera singer who works as hostess and server and was taking a break between lunch and dinner. But she'd give him lunch, she said, and went into the kitchen to whip up some pasta and fish.
The next day, Reeves turned up to say thank you with gifts of wine and candles. He's back in San Francisco shooting "Matrix 2," and he's a regular customer.
