Keanu Reeves Is Free Of All Charges

by Michael Todd

Keanu Reeves’ trial issued by a paparazzo is now finished and the actor has been cleared of all charges. The jury needed less than three hours to reach the conclusion that Mr. Reeves did not have anything to do with the photographer’s injuries.

The paparazzo, Alison Silva, demanded a total of $711,974 which included punitive damages, medical bills and lost wages. Even though all his arguments were dismissed and the verdict was agains him, Silva talked to the reporters outside the Los Angeles County Superior Court saying that "I respect the jury's decision. That's what we were here for since the beginning." He also added that he has nothing against the actor and that he will continue his work as a paparazzo.

Alfred Gerisch, Keanu Reeves’ attorney, also addressed the verdict, which in his opinion was clear from day one: "It's unfortunate that this lawsuit was brought and it's unfortunate that we had to go this far — a lot of time, a lot of effort and obviously a lot of money."

There have been several moments when Mr. Silva’s story did not come together, as he gave contradictory statements about the event and also there was a video tape with him using his supposedly damaged hand to come down a chain link fence. The jury, composed of six men and six women, carefully listened to all the testimonies and examined all the evidence before reaching their decision.

Keanu Reeves, keeping his well known low profile awaited the verdict in the courthouse’s cafeteria and did not want to comment the decision in any way.
