Keanu Reeves is Not the Father
Keanu Reeves is not the father of any of Canadian Karen Sala's four children according to conclusive DNA tests.
October 14, 2009, (Sawf News) - Keanu Reeves is not the father of any of Canadian Karen Sala's four children according to conclusive DNA tests, the actor's attorney tells TMZ.
However, Sala is still not convinced.
"Ms. Sala is challenging the validity of the DNA testing, so the case goes on," Reeves' attorney, Lorne Wolfson, told E! News.
Wolfson says Reeves will not have to repeat the test.
"If [Sala] wants to challenge it, let her go right ahead," Wolfson said. "But we are confident that the DNA testing was done properly and that the results are sound."
Reeves, 44, agreed to DNA paternity test last month in response to Sala's claim, filed in a Toronto court in May, alleging that he fathered her children.
In her claim filed, Karen Sala, 46, acting as her own lawyer, alleged that Reeves, 44, is the father of at least one of her four children - she could not say which. The children, all in their early 20s, are going to post-secondary schools.
Sala asked for the DNA test along with child support of $150,000 per month, retroactive from June 1988, as well as $3 million per month in spousal support retroactive from November 2006.
Reeves, who lived in Toronto with his mother until he moved to Hollywood in the late '80s, denies even knowing Sala.
Sala says she has known Reeves since she was 9 years old and he was 7. As a teenager she fled home and briefly lived with his family.
