Keanu Reeves: 'Bill and Ted 3 script needs adapting to fit budget'
by Alison Rowley
Keanu Reeves has admitted that although a draft of the Bill and Ted 3 script has been written, it needs editing to fit budget constraints.
The actor explained that the current storyline would require too much CGI.
Speaking to Access Hollywood, Reeves said the supernatural, time-travelling elements of the sequel needed rewriting.
"The script is funny and there's a story to tell there," he explained.
"[But] it needs to be adapted because right now it would cost, you know, $400 million to make.
"There's a rift in the universe and there's all sorts of creatures," he added. "[And CGI], it ain't cheap!"
