Keanu's Christmas clean
Keanu Reeves has no intention of cooking during the festive season.
The actor has movie 47 Ronin coming out on December 25, which means he has an extra reason to look forward to the holiday.
While he enjoys being surrounded by loved ones during this special time of year, he won't be offering up his culinary skills.
"Yeah, I like Christmas. Yeah, friends and family," he smiled during an interview for British TV show Lorraine.
"Do I cook? [Laughs] No I don't cook; it is not [my forte]. But I'm a good guest, so I'll help with the dishes or something like that."
The 49-year-old is the son of English-born costume designer Patricia Bond and Samuel Nowlin Reeves, Jr.
Being brought up by a mother from the UK has had an impact on their Christmas traditions.
"There is a kind of formalism around the table, there is a please and thank you," he reflected. "I don't know if that's unique of the English."
Keanu recently made his directorial debut with Man of Tai Chi, which he also stars in.
It touched upon the idea of surveillance, which is something that worries Keanu as someone in the public eye.
"Sure. Well, I don't have my house swept every month, and thank god there's the deep web - no, I'm kidding," he recently laughed.
"But yes and no. I don't like the idea of it, and I would hate it practically as well. Have you read Dave Eggers's book The Circle? Check that out. It's a fun read about what we're talking about right now. It's all about surveillance, and intrusion into your private life."
