Small video clip from the HC afterparty. Not much Ke content, but James Caan got asked about the oil painting comment, which was interesting. He squirmed a little. *hehe*

two takes of the same event. :D

http://www.torontolife.com/daily/hype/tiff-talk/2010/09/15/tiff-photo-gallery-keanu-reeves-dodges-traffic-and-vera-farmiga-shows-off-baby-bump-at-gala-screening-of-henry%E2%80%99s-crime/

Speaking of knowing how work a photo-op, Keanu Reeves dodged traffic to get to the other side of Yonge Street, where fans stood behind barricades waving copies of The Matrix on DVD. This is the first time we’ve seen a celebrity pull a Frogger for his fans. All this hometown boy needs to do to win us over now is shave that patchy beard.

Today, the film festival didn’t bother to (partially) close a street for a Keanu Reeves premiere. But they did bother to barricade fans out. To his credit, when Reeves saw how his fans were left out, he asked nearby police to close a lane of traffic so he could cross the street and sign autographs.

OK, it's getting pretty obvious now that they're not getting much press coverage for Henry's Crime. They're totally missing here, for instance: http://www.nowtoronto.com/guides/tiff/2010/.

Still, there's some minor stuff popping up, such as this blog entry about the horrendous HC press conference, where the journos seemed interested in nothing but Keanu's feelings about Toronto/Canada: http://blogs.reuters.com/fanfare/2010/09/18/pride-or-insecurity-at-the-toronto-festival-i-dont-know-you-tell-me/

And here's a nod to Vera Farmiga for her performance in HC: http://www.canada.com/TIFF+most+Biutiful+performances+miss/3540902/story.html

The Bill & Ted and Cowboy Bebop news has received alot more attention, and MTV did a hilarious interview with Keanu about B&T. I can't access it at MTV as I'm outside the US, but Club Keanu has it on their news page. It's a must see! He's imitating Werner Herzog, German accent and all. LOL!

Good luck, Adrianna! Do tell us about it when it's over. I must confess I wish I could be there too! But Toronto is a very long way from where I live... Just my luck!!! ;)

Edit:
And to all, thanks for the links!

Hey nafsunaek, thanks:) I'm going to the one in NY though, at the Rosendale Theater. No guarantee he'll be there, but it will still be a fun road trip.

well, these are the writers that didn't like R.Miller's directorial work in 'Pippa" either, so...I guess their expectations from a movie didn't meet with what these two directors had to offer.
Also , some of the remarks in the review make me think they missed the subtleties of the movie. But as I haven't seen the movie yet, can't really say if this is the case.
"Henry's Crime," isn't worthless, just uninteresting, familiar and not particularly special.
well, like I said, it depends on one's expectations.

and now I'm off to find Malcom Venville's 44 Inch Chest ;)

Okay. just finished watching '44 Inch Chest'. I think I might venture a guess on why K wanted Venville for 'Henry'... but won't spoil it for you, in case you want to play this game and then compare notes ;) :D

and there you go, a positive review. smile, ink ;)
http://movingpicturesmagazine.com/Reviews/tabid/59/entryid/3910/Henry-s-Crime.aspx

As for Reeves, whose casting in a farce might raise a few eyebrows and the occasional “Whoa!,” he proves perfectly suited to play Henry. Reeves is at his best when he’s allowed to be a reactor, responding to the situations around him, and that’s in tune with Henry, who’s been sleepwalking through life and never initiating anything.

yeah, that. that's K's trademark acting. and yet, I sooo wish he'd play Jekyll and especially Hyde...

Yay! I'm smiling! Grinning, even. Read *that*, distributors.

I happily gave the article a rating of 5 stars.

oh, the Collider interview... especially in audio form...
I love to hear him talk ; it's different than just reading the transcript, it has more life, more nuances, a personal touch...
it's like listening to a radio play instead than just reading the play...
does this make any sense?
