I guess there are enough people on Earth that, statistically, this was bound to happen -- however unlikely:

GIULIAFORTE GIULIA FORTE

hmm... The Watcher could have been a much better movie - in different directorial hands ;) it had a good premise but a bad execution :(
The actors did give their best but there's only so much one can do with that material and that director :(
The Watcher is one of the reasons I say K could do a splendid Hyde. unfortunately that project seems dead :(

Keanu Reeves is fucking bad ass, I don't care what anyone says. How can you be John Constantine and Neo in the same decade?

Every frame of keanucontent in the Watcher is priceless to me. I adore his little demonic dance! And him doing the picture taking cracks me up every time I view it. Seeing him so evil has a certain charm for me. The Watcher falls into my category of movies I would prefer to see with all the non keanu content eliminated. Someone did an excellent job of doing that with Dream to Believe on Youtube. I'd rather watch SGG like that too, oh...that is how I watch it...I just fast forward to the keanu parts. :)

Agreed, Arya. SSG isn't really my cuppa tea so after having watched it 3 times I will fast forward to Keanu's scenes.

As for The Watcher, I saw it just once and I can't remember much of it. Guess I should watch it again. Won't buy it, though. I refuse to support the film co. that agreed to make that crap and attempt to cheat Keanu out of a decent pay.

I'll see if I can find it via ThePirateBay.

First time looking at A Scanner Darkly. If I thought I couldn't love Keanu Reeves more I was wrong.

@inkhuldra. I have said these exact same words so many times!

Regarding The Watcher, since his movies are such a chronology of his life I have them all. I even own a copy of Journey to Success as there is a lot of good content but the narrative is horrid with lots of errors.

Arya, I don't have Journey to Success, but I've heard of it. Where did you get your copy?

Donna, I agree about ASD. He did some great, and very emotional, acting there. I just wish I could've seen a pre-rotoscope version of it. The rotoscoping put an artificial barrier between Keanu's non-verbal acting and the viewer. It worked OK for the funny, over the top characters, but Bob Arctor was a guy on an internal journey. Some of the nuances of the inner turmoil got lost in translation on the way to the final rotoscoped movie.

@inkhuldra, I got it from Amazon maybe 5 years ago?

And regarding the rotoscoping in ASD Keanu did say that he thought the acting translated very well, but I am with you I would still like to see the un rotoscoped version, including the entirety of the sex scene. Oh let me be real here... I want to see every single scrap of footage ever recorded, frame by frame. Is that too much too ask?

;D I doubt it was him in the scene.

Sometimes I think it would be much more emphatically if the beginning of ASD was non-rotoscoped and then became rotoscoped more and more that would show that Arctor completely loses touch with reality in the end....just thinking....

Donna - artistically, it would have been a good idea. but they had to include the scramble suits in the film from the beginning, and rotoscoping was the only way to 'film' those suits.

personally, after the first 10 minutes or so I didn't even notice the animation anymore. it just felt so real... ( which is probably one of the points the movie wanted to make ;) )

and after listening to the DVD commentary on this movie, I'd say it was him ;)
when the movie reaches that scene, he says '... humans' on such a tone that you can hear him shake his head XD

agree Luca, that was him in the bed scene. The question that drives me is...were those his regular 'night moves' or what? :) We are SO off topic.

I must shamefacedly admit that I frame-by-framed that scene in its entirety. Twice.

And Arya, I may never have asked that question, but now that you mention it... Hey, Keanu! Gotta ask you something!

Edit, in a feeble attempt at on-topic-ness:

Why has no one shown me the light that is Keanu Reeves' face before? Johnny Depp is no longer anything to me. I <3 Keanu Reeves. #Dedicated

Lebanese owner of the cafe I frequent calls me Keh-ahn, asks if I'm from Hawaii because of Keanu Reeves. "He was born in Lebanon, you know."

That cafe owner isn't the first Lebanese who likes to claim Keanu for their own. LOL!
