So, he's saying it was more about the chinese censorship than about reeves? Or not.

Forum Posts: 4842 Comments: 381 Reviews: 13 | It's not clear. But I remember Reeves saying - in the Strombo interview or at TIFF, or on both occasions- that due to the censorship the corrupt policeman could not be in Beijing, so that part of the action had to be moved to Hong Kong, where it was 'allowed'; that the illegal fights club could not be in China so it was 'moved' on that freight ship... and that all these challenges 'opened' the story.

Forum Posts: 2836 Comments: 74 Reviews: 11 | That is part of the Reeves magic. He can turn obstacles into opportunities. Good message for all of us.

Yeah he said it in a couple interviews. Never saw the Strombo either. Your entire post is correct Luca. The censorship is funny in China. Guess because HK was under British rule for so long, corrupt police and underground fighting is only due to Western Capitalists influence. ;)

Forum Posts: 1101 Comments: 48 Reviews: 0 | Astounding that anyone can write that poorly and get published. It's a review! It's a rant! It's a criticism of Michelle Obama! He could have saved everyone a lot of time and trouble by merely saying "Keanu sucks and should only play Ted." Freaking fish. Just put 'em in tempura batter and deep fry the bastards.

Forum Posts: 345 Comments: 10 Reviews: 0 | It's Huffington Post. There used to be great writers on there. A lot of them are friends. I don't know this Joel guy though. Most of my friends moved on to WaPo and similar publications.
This is the site creator, she sold HP to AOL for 315M back in 2010 [it was announced]

Forum Posts: 1101 Comments: 48 Reviews: 0 | You're right, Axie, content used to be great. More and more "journalism" gets sold out to Big Business and then journalism goes to hell. Did you see the great movie "The Insider" with Al Pacino and Russell Crowe, about the demise of CBS "news"? Christopher Plummer was brilliant and scathing as Mike Wallace. Celebrity gossip and disrespecting is not journalism. I still think that fish taste best with tempura batter.

Forum Posts: 345 Comments: 10 Reviews: 0 | Media is consolidated to only a few holders now. All major corporations. Print, online, TV = same people. It is about ad revenue and not rocking the boat.

Forum Posts: 4842 Comments: 381 Reviews: 13 | Joel Sucher is a writer/filmmaker with Pacific Street Films. He's written for a variety of publications and outlets including American Banker, Huffington Post and In These Times. Currently he's working on a pilot for a martial arts series, titled Tough Guy.
Well, let's see how good his tv series will be ;) The article is not a professional review, though. The movie is used as a pretext for the writer to advertise his own documentary and his own 'knowledge' of the martial arts. I've linked it because I found it interesting - for several reasons.

That was my take-away from the post. The entertainment section on Huffington is really dreadful. Some of the blogs are great; otherwise it is an aggregate of news from other sites.
