I've seen one trailer so far. As always for me Roth does what he does best, fearsome. I felt the ease of the beginning story and as usual the pull of terror and fear as it rolls forward. Props to Keanu for changing up and closing this film. I'm not sure if the human choice always gets what it deserves, but for me I believe that what will be, will be. Sometimes not all bad choices get penalized. I hope those that see the movie will see it for what I think it is meant to be, something very different for Keanu and a chance to think about what we choose to do in our everyday life. Can't wait to see it.

I'm glad to see Keanu do a movie where he's not the obvious hero, but rather the subject of judgement due to his bad choices. This is definitely is a movie I must see.

The trailers make this film look interesting, though I prefer my villains a little more subtle rather than just plain bat-shit crazy. But this seems to be a good role for Keanu - not strictly the good guy and not strictly the bad.

I'm afraid it's a real horror and maybe I'm not going to watch it

Any word yet on US release date? In theaters, or likely straight to video?

I'm really curious and nervous at how the film is going to be received. However It stands at a rating of 8.1 in IMDB from over 700 users. I'm guessing it'll get panned by the critics and this will impact the general public. I'm hoping to watch it on the big screen when it's released. I notice he's not going to be a guest on The Graham Norton Show. Shame but maybe he's choosing to be low profile

Agreed, it doesn't look like a professional poster at all.

yup noticed. def. on purpose. it didn't to be so...blatant, I think.

it would have been better if the two women's faces were turned to us, centered, cropped from the partial bridge of the noses up, the knife horizontal partially over the red lips, with Keanu's reflection some what in the metal of the knife.

Ordinarily, I would not object to the imagery to which Anakin refers ie blatant sexuality & Keanu

But this poster contradicts what we understand to be the point (did I just do that?) of the film. Who's the victim? Evan? or the crazed, evil girls? This is something that puzzles me about the film, and about Roth in general - cautionary tale? morality play? or torture porn, squeee! - because all three together makes no sense and seems way too muddled.

good point err, statement. I don't think it is a "morality play". I mean what morals are being shown, and by whom? Keanu said it isn't "torture porn", but he laughed when he said that. eh stuff, and words.

well done!

The clips etc that we've seen suggest that Evan is tormented because he made a bad choice, under what can only be described as extreme...duress.
Sure, adultery is bad - but is the implication that it deserves what happens after that? I agree, it isn't a morality play because there would have to be actual morality espoused (dang, this is...difficult!) & that sounded a WHOLE lot like nervous laughter to me.

If the whole film was the suspense and awkward sexual comedy / tension / creepiness that seems to happen in the beginning of the film, THAT would be cool. I hope - we'll (at least some of us will) see - that it doesn't completely unravel into "OMG! watch Keanu in distress!!!" I'm just not interested in that. I barely survived Kai's suffering in 47 Ronin, and that was for a purely noble cause.

Nope. Have seen photos which imply the ending, and have seen the (terrible YouTube version linked at IMDb) "original" "Death Game" but I don't know how this ends.

I saw the interview where he laughed after he said it wasn't torture porn. I interpreted that he meant: I am saying it's not torture porn, but my description sounds like torture porn. I think he believes it isn't.

About calling it a "morality play", that phrase where I was brought up means a story where a person breaks a moral code and suffers the consequences. Calling it a cautionary tale has a slightly different meaning. It is more about the danger you could let into your life. For that the protagonist may or may not be guilty.

I am looking forward to seeing "knock knock " but I fear many fans may not like it as they only want the action hero character. Me, I've decided I want to see who Keanu has found to show us. That includes those struggling at the edges of society in "generation Um ..."
