Hi everyone. After three and a half years, I've decided to retire from updating this directory; partly because I'm not as involved in BTTF fandom as I used to be, and partly because I'm busy with other commitments (other fandoms, studies, work, life).

FutureFix will still stay up with its links to the ~1,200 BTTF fics out there and continue to be available for fic-finding, but those written from November 2010 onwards won't be added into the directory.

I've had a great time compiling and running this site and I hope you continue to find it useful. Thanks for your support over the years, and perhaps we'll bump into each other again sometime in the future.

A whole lot of new fics this month, mostly from two writers, one of whom is new.

Here we go! I've been getting busy and no longer have time to read through the fics, so in lieu of my own summaries, I'll be posting the fic summaries for each. Meanwhile I revamped the site layout some time earlier this month, so you can check it out if you like.

Finally back online after about a week's outage. Shifted webhosts and had to rebuild the database from a 3 month old backup, which was good in that I caught some typos and fixed a few errors here and there.

13 additions to the database this month, though some are older stuff that I just discovered:

Mostly new writers this month. The sole non-new-writer, previously known as Indiana McFly Jr., returns with the new name of Emma McFly-Keaton-Flaherty-Fox and the fic Remember the Time, about how Doc and Marty first met.

New writers! ObsessedRomantic comes with Forward into the Past, about an original character entering Hill Valley and getting messed up with the not-so-normal stuff that happens in there. From Crauxes is The Courier, about what might have happened instead if the courier who delivered Doc's letter to Marty at the end of BTTF 2 had been disabled.

.RQK debuts with a fic Self in which, with Doc's help, Marty plans a short trip back in time to meet with and chat with himself. Lastly, half_hearted_heroine has Broken Bride, a fic inspired by the rock opera of the same name.

Hi everyone, and sorry for the belated update; I was busy procrastinating on homework. Two new writers this month: Notime33 with The Other Time Traveller, a novella in which Doc discovers that the future has changed drastically from what he last knew, and concludes that it has to be the work of someone else with a time machine; and JediPatStarrunner with Back to the Future: Revelation, in which Doc Brown announces his invention to the world.

Insectlover has the short story Outside of History Adventure, in which Marty and Doc take a trip back to prehistory to help Marty with his homework. By oLabyrintho is The Right Assistant for the Job, showing how Doc finally settled on having Marty as his assistant. Finally, JenniferJaneMcFly returns with The Gift Of Time, where Marlene McFly discovers her teenage parents on their trip to 2015.

Three new fics this month, all by new authors: Time Parrells by Insectlover, in which Doc and Marty travel two million years ot the future; the Soul Calibur crossover Logan's Remakes: Back to the Future by Mewt00920 and A Greater Mission, about Doc's first trip to the future pre-BTTF2 and what made him go back to try and fix it.

Hi, and Happy New Year, everyone. This is a double-update for November and December of last year since I was away. 39 new fics in total, most of them part of a new series of short stories by bttf4444, the whole lot of which can be accessed here. From EmmettMcFly55 is two more short stories, The Assistant That Will One Day Be An Inventor and Waiting For A Child To Come, where Marty's twin Calvin is anxious about how Marty has a daughter while he remains childless. My Reality is Fiction has meanwhile started on the final installment of her "I'll Stop the World" series, Time After Time. From the last of the regular writers this update is Back for the Booty by Indiana McFly Jr.

Whole lot of new writers in the meantime: Bolt the superdog debuts with the fics Into the Past, wherein Marty Jr. and friends and pets go back in time to 1985, and Marty and I in 1955, in which she is Jennifer Parker. flexa brings Hell Hath no Fury, which sees Clara avenge Doc's murder. From GoonieGirl is Being martys best friend, where Marty and Doc's daughter Abby go back in time in a revised BTTF1.

Another new writer Jah-myster784 has written Back to the Future: The Brown Tragedy, where Verne is accidentally killed while trying to steal a joyride in the DeLorean, and Doc and Marty try to stop it from happening. Backroads has the crossover story Time Travelers' Anonymous, where a bunch of time travellers from various fandoms get together to deal with their time travelling habit. gothicaljordan meanwhile comes up with what is possibly the first Clara/Emmett fic in this fandom, Wedding Night.

Meanwhile, as evidenced by the fic Back to Future fanficChapter 1 (and its Chapter 2), new writer Sumi tani is either doing a parody or really, truly, desperately needs a beta reader asap. Lastly, we have a poem entitled Doc Sonnet from jiayinh, who wrote it for a class.

Belated update; got distracted by NaNoWriMo. Okay, just three fics from the regular writers: The Circle of Ancestry by bttf4444, set in her universe where Marty never returned from the West. From Radioactive Nerd are two fics, Triple Dog Dare, in which Marty and Dave are dared by their friends to venture into that crazy old man's house; and Now Showing at the Orpheum, based off the original BTTF screenplay, where Marty and Prof. Brown start an illegal movie theatre business.

The other fics added this month are all old ones discovered via fanfiction.net's new crossover tagging system. So, they're all crossovers, and can be accessed through the menu on the right. This lot includes crossovers with iCarly, Pirates of the Caribbean, Sonic the Hedgehog, Terminator, and Twilight.

hai gaiz. This month we have a grand total of two (2) new fics, both by new writers who have decided that Marty would be better off without Jennifer as his girlfriend. First there's See You In The Future by AnImEandMaNgAoBsEsSeD, where a teenage girl who hangs around Doc a lot is whipped up into the events of the first movie and joins Marty on his time travelling fun. Trouble ensues. Then there's the Doc / Marty slash fic The Start of a New Relationship by SeverusPotterSnape, in which Doc and Marty kiss in 1955.

Fixed a few technical bugs on the site - mostly the one that prevented fics with parts to be displayed, and the stats page actually works now.

New stories: there's a short story series by EmmettMcFly55 and bttf4444 entitled 'The Wonderful World of Clint Eastwood. bttf4444 also has Doc or Dad?, in a universe where Doc adopted Marty as his son.

From new writer Taryn Streambattle is A Twisted Reality, where a Tannen-led gang from 2045 goes back to 1955 to ensure that the A-universe becomes reality once again. Other new writer nomelon comes debuts with Biff/Lorraine porn entitled Next to Nothing. Lisa Moulton returns after long inactiveness with An Out of This World Friendship, in which her alien original character comes to know and befriend Doc.

Radioactive Nerd brings Adventures At Space Camp, an entertaining fic that has the Brown kids spend some days at camp experiencing what it's like to be an astronaut. Finally, usedusername presents the Defer no Time, a take on what happens when Lone Pine Marty gets into the time machine, enters 1955, and wonders why his memories of his happy family are changing.

Complete site revamp again; it was about time. This site now has its own domain of futurefix.net, but I had problems with hosting and so while I'm looking around for another free host I'm redirecting everything to here for the time being since I can afford the bandwidth.

Temporary guestbook is available here for any comments / suggestions / error reports you might have; just mention that the entry is for this site instead of WINM, and eventually I'll shift those over when I get more things working around here and I've established permanent webhosting for it and everything.

The main change with this revamp is that fics are no longer arranged by author, but by title. This unfortunately means that authors with fics arranged by universe or story type no longer have the format; it was the only way I could turn this site into an automatically-generated database because as it grew bigger it got harder to maintain manually, whereas now it's much more automated and easier to manage and update. Computers can't tell different kinds of fics apart, so everything is basically alphabetical now.

On the flip side, there are now author profile pages where you can view everything written by a particular author, collaborations aside. Each has a link to that author's personal website or fanfiction.net account where available, so if you want to see how the fics were originally meant to be listed, go over there.

Ok, on to the new fics for this month - just five. Radioactive Nerd presents From The Illustrious Mind of Jules Brown, a one-shot diary fic from Jules' POV. EmmettMcFly55 has the vignette When Your Future Lies In The Past about the events immediately following Doc and Clara flying off on the hoverboard at the end of Part 3. New writer JonasHouseIdol debuts with the RPS fic 2 Idols And A DeLorean, which has, uh, two American Idol contestants meeting Doc and Marty.

From bttf4444 is My True Daddy, which has 1985-A Marty angsting after Biff Tannen becomes his father. Lastly, from me is a parody of the Bowling for Soup song 1985 and the one-shot fic T.T.A.; because there's such a thing as too much time travel.

Okay, update. New writer zara2148 with the drabble Picking Up the Pieces which briefly explores Doc's thoughts before he tapes Marty's letter back together, and The Bunyip with Back to the future crossover, where Doc realises that there's something weird about him - he's not growing older, and his past seems to be a fabrication. It's yet to be known just what fandom it's crossover-ing with.

From bttf4444 are three short stories about Marty's birthday dedicated to EmmettMcFly55, where Marty celebrates his birthday in different circumstances with different people: My Son and Me, My Father, My Brother, and My Buddy, and The Day Everything Was Bright. She has also written The Dawning of a New Age, as Marty and Doc spend some time together before the teen's eighteenth birthday.

EmmettMcFly55 proposes a world in which the intelligence levels of Doc and Marty are switched, and in this scenario rewrites the first BTTF film in Marty's Great Experiment.

I realised I had been missing fics rated above T from fanfiction.net, so checking those out I uncovered several more fics: the Doc/Marty fic Typical Hormone Fever by Kurayumei, taking place in the universe of the original Part 2 'Paradox' script. From bttfimjfifan is another Bill Nye the Science Guy crossover slash fic entitled Bill s worst day ever, once again slashing Doc with Bill Nye the Science Guy. Lastly, a Biff/Marty fic by jojosephs in Sometimes.

This directory is now two years old; I have no idea where the time went. :\

Fics! Marty discovers the horrors of transuniverse fan fiction in new writer God-Time-Fate-Whatever's fic Doc I don't think I like slash; and Breeker Dude invades the fandom with the seriously weird and slightly disturbing fic Dirk Hardbones Goes Back to the Future. Sodomy, serial killings and cannibalism on a universe at the brink of explosion.

New writer Indiana McFly Jr. brings a crossover, Indiana Jones to the Future, which crosses over BTTF and, er, Indiana Jones, as well as the pseudo-sequel fic Back to the Future Part IV, which is basically the first movie transplanted into 2015 with Marty Jr. as the protagonist trying to save his existence. From chrisfardell is the filler fic I Can Play Guitar, about that short gap between Marty crushing Marvin's hand and agreeing to play in his place.

The Reluctant Time Traveller by new writer The Submarauder is an AU fic with a girl named Rebecca Jameson in the Marty role. George McFly deals with the pressures of overcoming his fear of rejection and sharing his writing with the world in Taking the Plunge by Radioactive Nerd.

Fandom still in a relative slump. Five additions; new writer, Kurayumei, brings Manchu Wok, an entertaining fic about Doc's first venture into the horrific unknown that is a Chinese restaurant. Two new stories from bttf4444 - Secrets Of Our Parents, where the next generation of McFlys go back to 1987; and When Doc Was A Kid, where Marty and the Brown kids meet a young Emmett. From a long-absent writer is Me with a Somewhere In Time crossover entitled Time Travel isn't for Amateurs; and lastly, an untitled poem summarising the events of the first film - Untitled Poem by WibSkelDS9.

...I am considering shifting this site onto its own paid domain; don't know if it'll be worth it though. :\

Fairly slim pickings for March; we have three new short stories by bttf4444, all from a series entitled 'Hill Valley Trials' - No More Daddy, where a young Marty hears the news of his father's murder; Farewell To My Friend, where Doc says goodbye to Marty as the latter leaves for Switzerland; and Fearful Friday, Doc's thoughts a year after George's death.

From WibSkelDS9 is Storm, where a nighttime thunderstorm leads to some father-son bonding for George and young Marty. Lastly, a crossover slash fic from bttfimjfifan, Science and Love, where Doc and Bill Nye the Science Guy get together.

Not many new fics this month. For those following the 'I'll Stop the World' series by My Reality is Fiction, she has got two more related one-shot fics up: The Letter, Broken, and the sequel proper, Every Breath You Take which follows the travellers to 2015.

bttf4444 has written Rock Star Daddy, where Marty Sr. takes a break from his career to spend some time with young Marty Jr. and Marlene; My Injured Soul Mate, where Jennifer worries about Marty after he gets knocked down; The Times Are Changing, the thoughts of Verne Brown on the cusp of adulthood; and What Is and What Should Never Be, where a seemingly simple trip back in time results in Hill Valley of the 1980s becoming a ghost town. bttf4444 has meanwhile completed her fic 'The Girl of My Old Home'.

Radioactive Nerd has finished 'Coraline BTTF Style' and brings a short one-shot fic, Babysitting the Boys, about what would happen if she babysat Jules and Verne.

The singular new writer this month - gonzo117 - debuts with a completed fic entitled Unfinished Business that takes off from a slightly different end of the trilogy - some things were changed by Marty and Doc's presence in 1885, and Marty's existence is endangered once again.

This month, Radioactive Nerd finishes off her two Animated Series fic seasons with Family History, where a school project gives the Brown kids an opportunity to learn about their roots, and The Last Episode, where a simple time trip results in Doc's life hanging by a thread. Also by her are The Fire, about the time the Brown mansion burnt down; Baby Stories - a collection of short fics on various BTTF characters as young kids; Rubik's Revolution! where Doc, Marty and Jennifer play a game; and the BTTF adaptation of the Neil Gaiman short story, Coraline BTTF Style, where Verne discovers another world via his basement that at first seems too good to be true...

From bttf4444 we have two short stories: Reaching Out to Daddy, where a teenage Lorraine feels that her father doesn't love her, and George McFly For Class President, where George faces off against one of the most popular kids in school for the coveted position. Then there's the crossover The Glorious Christmas of Narnia, which has a trip through time result in the travellers ending up in Narnia instead. The fic crosses over the Chronicles of Narnia series, Peter Pan, Labyrinth, The Wizard of Oz and Ferris Bueller's Day Off. bttf4444 then teams up with EmmettMcFly55 for the fic The Great Chase, which sees Doc and Marty chase a Tannen through time after he steals both Jennifer and the time machine.

In the slash area, two Doc / Marty fics this month: in Make a break, Doc by bttfimjfifan, Marty decides that Doc is working too hard and needs a break; and History Repeats by usedusername has a time-stranded Marty live through the thirty years between 1955 and 1985, waiting with Doc for that moment when things will finally return to normal.

New writer My Reality is Fiction brings a set of related stories; the main one being I'll Stop the World and Melt With You, where Doc's daughter Amelia finds herself stuck in 1955 with Marty. The author assures us that she is not a Mary Sue, and reviewers appear to agree. In association with that are the one-shot fics Things Revealed, Dropping Hints and Lorraine's Stand.

On the other hand, other new writer Allis0nW0nd3rland says that her two OCs in Path Less Traveled are Mary Sues, but says that they are well-developed (*ahem*) ones in a good story. Lastly, we have the third new writer of 2009, sunshinedays123, with How My Life Changed Within A Week, essentially a novelised version of the first movie with occasional added details and scenes.

Music: "The Secret of My Success" by Night Ranger

Happy New Year! We've just passed the 1000 barrier: 1009 fics at last count, and growing.

From Radioactive Nerd there's another bunch of TAS fics: An Errand in Alexandria, where the time travellers pay a visit to the Library of Alexandria before it was destroyed; Suspicion, where the Brown's next-door scientist neighbour decides to figure out just what secret the Brown family is hiding; Adventure in the Future, where Marty goes off to the year 3000 with Verne in search of inspiration for a science fiction story he needs to write; and Trick or Treating in Salem, a Halloween fic where the Brown kids and Marty decide to see how All Hallows Eve was traditionally celebrated, only to end up in trouble. Also by her are the fics Accomplishment, where young Doc learns to ride a bicycle, and the Teen Wolf -inspired fic Surfin' USA, which has Marty - and Doc - try out van-surfing stunts in Hill Valley.

PaperShredder is now PaperShredder15 and brings A wierd Christmas Encounter, where Doc, Marty and Seamus inexplicably end up in the North Pole. EmmettMcFly55 has written a complete sequel script, Back to the Future Part IV. Then there's Lights by scifitwin, Doc-POV Christmas fic about Santa Claus and other beliefs.

Nine new fics from bttf4444 this month, mostly short stories: Two Weeks Later, taking place the titular length after the Enchantment Under the Sea Dance, where George and Lorraine have a chat; Turmoil of the Mind, a supplementary fic to EmmettMcFly55's Heaven Or Hell? fic; The Spirit of Christmas Lives On, where Clara realises that Christmas hasn't really changed that much in the future after all; Calvin's Family Values, where the importance that Calvin (Marty-A) places on family is mocked by his peers; Looking Forward, where he looks forward to his first full year in the new world; A Painful Affair and My Injured Half, two different takes of what happens when Marty gets knocked unconscious by Needles; Identity Crisis, where Calvin goes through an existential dilemma; and Not Quite Farewell to Youth, where he and Marty face their 18th birthday and passage into adulthood.
