| I also thought that Keanu did quite well at the Chinese. And given the invisibility of most languages of the world (i.e. languages other than from former colonizer countries), anyone who actually tries to learn a language or at least tries to pronounce it in an adequate way gains a lot of respect from me. And I can say that after over a year of studying the language, my pronunciation - even as I was still learning Chinese - was never really good. So, expecting someone to pronounce it well enough... I mean, of course I could criticize Keanu for speaking Chinese worse than someone else, but I don't think it mattered that much. I think the scene was pretty much a cliché of what I'd expect to be in such a film. The scene was among those that I actually liked. I didn't like the film all that much in general. |

| I love that one Q&A TV interview (that apparently doesn't exist online anymore, as 6records deleted his or her Youtube account :O) with Keanu and Shia. Ever since, "the holy shotgun" has become part of my vocabulary.
Keanu loved that film, he surely did. He had style in that film. |

| Thanks for the link to the article. I can imagine that it must be really weird for the actors that on top of everything else a lot of the scenes are modified or created by computers. It's always pretty difficult to imagine what it must feel like.
