Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure (1989) – 2018-02-11 12:06:52
A Fun Movie

This one doesn't need a review per se, but here's a quick one. I bet most visitors on this site has seen this one several times.

"BILL & TED'S EXCELLENT ADVENTURE", is a fun movie with catchy lines, and catchy characters. Alex Winter, and Keanu Reeves really seem like good friends, and their on screen characters get into to very interesting situations.

Definitely worth watching at least once, for any fan or Keanu Reeves.

Great³

I saw this when it came out, and I was about 10. I understood what the movie was setting up, but my parents didn't lol.

Action, Great.
Love Story, Great.
Humor, Great.
=Great³
Lawrence Fishburne vs Keanu Reeves, YES PLEASE all day/everyday indeed.

The shots have stood the test of time, now that it is 2017 and it still looks really good. (Unlike Johnny Mnemonic lol joking...not really though)

Not for Everyone

I watched this a few times, and I found it very artsy, and dark. When I first saw it, I picked up on the Shakespearean influences very early on, and that was a cool touch.

With my little knowledge of Narcolepsy, I question River's performance, as I do not recall seeing a Narcoleptic slowly fade into an episode, but rather quite suddenly drop into it. However, Phoenix was known to do tons of research for his roles, so I'm sure that's just my lack of more research on my end.

I enjoy anytime Keanu goes into something more Shakespearean, and hope one day to see him play Puck in a Mid Summer's Night Dream (I can imagine right? lol).

The shots were good, but sometimes I think the movie tended to lag, and (imo) the characters were lackadaisical in their personal goals at times. For this, and the sexual content, I think that this movie isn't for everyone.

Made me Laugh

Love this. It is funny, and a little dark.

I'd recommend it to almost anyone. Kevin Kline is lovely as usual, Tracey Ullman is good at playing a more straight character rather than comedic, Joan Plowright is hilarious as the mother, William Hurt and Keanu Reeves play well off one another, and River Phoenix was funny and believable in his attraction for Rosalie.

Keanu made me laugh so much during the "Pledge of Allegiance" scene.

Pretty Good

This one is not bad. It is worth the watch.

Keanu plays a character who very different than the other's he is known for playing (characters with charm, and maybe a fair amount of redeemable qualities).

I think that Keanu's character's dialogue (especially when you first see the character) goes about heavily hitting you over the head. They really want you to know that this is an abusive, racist, and sexist man.

All in all, this was pretty good.
