MATRIX PIZZA

Well, yesterday evening I went out for a pizza and, in the list, I happened to find MATRIX PIZZA (!!!) with tomatoes, bacon, onions and Parmesan.

I thought for a long time about the reason for just those ingredients, and, at last, I came to the solution: we have a sauce, usually used for pasta, that is made with them, and here it is called Amatriciana.

But I have to say that the English adaptation has a far more impressive impact

Wow...I want pizza...
YvieS, it's easy!!! Take some tomato sauce, put some onion, bacon and Parmesan in it and pour it on a pizza. And you'll taste the Matrix flavour

I miss tomato sauce. I can't really eat it anymore, on account of the missing gallbladder. Too acidic.

Meh. Not a big deal. I have a cool scar. I have fun with it. I had to deal with this jerk insurance guy a few months ago who called asking my why I hadn't paid for a double cholecystectomy, and I was like, "I grew ANOTHER gallbladder!?" Hahahaha.

Yvies1, what about yellow tomatoes? They're supposed to be low/no acid..

I didn't know that they were low acid. I'll have to try one, thanks for the tip!

My father has his gallbladder out too, but he can apparently eat acidic things - it's just oily food he's supposed to avoid. But he eats it anyway, and just gets diarrhoea as a result, which he doesn't mind...

Yeah, from what I understand, it differs from person to person. My in-laws can eat acidic things, but can't eat stuff like burgers. I can't eat red meat anymore, really, because I get sick. Greasy foods, like French Fries, make me sick as well. I've been eating a lot of fish and baked chicken lately. But maybe the whole thing is for the better--before I had the gallbladder out, I didn't eat all that healthy. Now it's gone, and I eat better foods like fruits and vegetables.
