I know! I absolutely loved it! My favorite part is...oh, nevermind. I don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it yet. Hurry up and see it, people, and then we can all talk about it!

It was very cool, I wasn't expecting a lot, difficult subject, but they did a good job

Ok, no one else seems to be saying anything, so let's talk about it.

...er. Here's the awesome music.

The composer Michael Giacchino also did the score for The Incredibles. He is awesome.

I'll have to watch it a few more times before I can speak of it coherently

Two things on my mind though - someone finally tackled the time paradox issue - with questionable results

And I wish personally that they had made a little more use of Bones - but then that could be due to my having revisited Middle Earth recently

Overall though, am pleased with the cast they ended up with, I think they all did well

Which time paradox issue?

And yeah, more Bones would be good. He was my favourite character in the TOS, followed by Spock and Scotty.

Oh, yeah, I was all about Karl Urban as well. I thought he did really good with the Lousiana accent--that's a hard thing to imitate for anyone, especially if you're from New Zealand and all the vowels are pronounced nearly opposite!

Time paradox, the issue of what happens when you go back in time and change even the smallest of things, and what might happen if you meet yourself - and realize it

They danced all over various aspects of the thing and had a grand time with it, but the 'time travel nerds' will be completely discombobulated

And he did do a good job of the southern accent, didn't he?

The south is much like living in the British Isles or 'Downunder' I suppose, dialects vary depending on location. I lived in Louisiana for several years, the northern part, but traveled fairly frequently through the deeper south, and the variety of dialects, not to mention actual languages was fascinating

It was an experience to go from Kansas where I wasn't aware of any accent, to Louisiana where they thought I sounded funny, back to Kansas some years later where they told me I sounded southern, and now here to Kentucky where they still think I sound funny and can't figure out what/where I sound like

Imagine being an actor who has to try on different accents, and live in different places while filming - I've always wondered, did K pick up an Ozzie accent while he was there for the Matrix films?

Nah, that's been dealt with in many time travel films before. Like, say, Bill & Ted. Most tend to use different time travel models though.
