A few days ago I was invited to join in a little chicken fun but by the time I sorted it out, it was 2 days later and I think the fun was over. From what I could tell by the following day, it seems like there was some kind of spat (due to the fun?). Anyway, from the bits and pieces I read during my normal speed-scrolling of threads, I couldn't help but notice that several, what seemed like old-regulars under their new, fake (fun?) chicks name, were turning on Anakin? What the?! Then, 2 nights ago I started to reply to that long thread - can't remember what the title was as it changed several times throughout - but it got deleted whilst I was typing. I had been copying and pasting as I typed so I started a new thread, "In defence of A. of the McFly" on Anakin's account, obviously. By last night, the thing had been completely taken over by that bloss bimbo (surprise, surprise) who thanked me for the attention! What a cheek! I can say a LOT about WHY that girl needs this kind of online fantasy attention (and I'm sure you can read between my lines here) but I won't because I'm a LADY. I wanted to have the whole thread pulled but couldn't figure out if I can have the WHOLE thing deleted. I didn't want to delete my comments and still have that bimbo's useless propaganda still wasting e-space. Had to go to bed, so left it for tonight. Tonight the whole thing is gone! WHO STOLE MY THUNDER???! I wanted to have the whole thing deleted myself - just to spite that nimwit - but someone beat me to the punch. Everything happens when I switch off! Does anyone know what happened?  Anyhoo. My point is, I'm so sorry Anakin for whatever happened during the supposed fun-chicks thing. I'm sure you don't deserve that kind of treatment, and it makes me see red that, somehow, they have finally wiggled their way into the bond shared by the regulars and have managed to corrupt that too. Grrrrrr. While I'm here, can anyone explain to me - in prep for next time, sheesh! - how do I get a whole thread removed from imdb, not just my posts??? (((hugs))) TWO PS: if this thread is likely to start another fire, pls delete it Anakin and maybe someone can PM instead. | ||

| Forum Posts: 125 Comments: 2 Reviews: 0 | Hey Wyley, I don't know what happened, I missed it too. Seeing only your thread, I couldn't reply since I had no idea what went down in the first place. The only thing I can contribute to this, is that the whole Chicks-thing seemed like it would only create more problems, which is why I didn't join in. Personally, I feel like stuff from one messageboard should stay there, whether it is Club-Keanu or Imdb. So, it would help if Chicks were to not create polls about Imdb's posters on her site, and by the same notion if Imdb-posters were to stay away from all and any of Club-Keanu's drama. Just don't mention it. I have a very generous amount of people on ignore, a lot of whom I suspect are loud obnoxious CK-ers who switch Id's at the drop of a hat. Currently a lot of them are some variation of Chicks, and because I have them on ignore I missed all the drama. Can not recommend the ignore-function enough, and at this point I think it is a reponsibility of those who want the old board back to use it. Jmho of course. Finally, you can not get rid of a thread you create. The only thing you can do, is delete your own post, the rest will still stand. But if the post that created a thread is reported and subsequently deleted by the admins, the whole thing will go. I really hope we can go back to being Keanu-fans at Imdb at some point, but I'm losing faith really. Edited to add: which is why it is such a relief to have this site to come to!  Thanks Anakin. | ||

I've never been a member of CK so since the site was reopened, I haven't been able to read the boards as you now need to be registered. So I have no idea what is going on over there. The poll thing sounds interesting, though! I don't understand where all the nastiness comes from as from what I remember of the CK boards, most people seemed to get along really well. Of course, my main interest there was CRR's pic of the day threads. They were always upbeat! Well, I tried reporting my own thread and a couple of other comments over at imdb, but it didn't work  they're all still there.Maybe you need to send an email to admin to have it taken down? I've never bothered before, but I figure it's my thread and if I want it removed, I should be able to do so. It must be a nightmare trying to monitor a site like imdb, but it's a shame things get left to run amuck like they do. TWO  | ||

Imdb, I think, is actually largely unmanagable. They must have over a million posts to monitor, so promoting the ignore-function (their standard reply) is probably all they can do. Sometimes people will get banned, but it seems like that is completely random. The few times I've seen that happen (on non-K boards) the poster that got deleted was actually the non-offensive one and would create a new account immediately.About people using multiple ID's: Katie Holmes' board was, at one time, populated by one poster who had more than 100 ID's, shilling for CO$ and Katie. It was like a ghost town. People were reporting it, and nothing got done. Then suddenly a few months of quiet over there, (I heard that she and all of her ID's actually were banned during this time) and then, kaboom, same thing: she's back with again dozens of ID's. Apparently this is a mentally unstable woman in her thirties who lives with her parents and uses her relatives' credit cards to register, against their wishes. My point: Imdb in this case went to great trouble banning more than 100 ID's, and it didn't help. I don't know why the posts you reported are still there, another completely random event. Maybe it would help if a lot of the posters that don't create trouble and drama sent the exact same request for help to the admins? I somehow doubt it, but it could be worth a shot. | ||

Anakin had raised some issues in that thread and then someone else there said it would be funny to change people's IMDB names to Chicks. So,the next day a bunch of posters showed up with Chicks in their names. (Anakin PM'ed me about the idea, but I didn't participate. I thought it was funny, but thought it would just aggravate KLM, which it seems to have and reinforced whatever crazy notions she has about Chicks and people at CK. Plus, I like my user name too much).  I think Anakin posted a link (a photo shot) of something that was posted at Club Keanu and KLM got to see it and posted the links. This infuriated some at the CK board, thinking that something at a private board in turn got made "public." Anakin was threatened with being banned, but she apologized and things seem okay. I think there's an open letter to Anakin over at CK. I think Anakin is just trying to help and really just wants to debate logically with facts, but some people are beyond facts/debating. You can't debate with the mentally unstable, especially if they believe something to be true and just basically hurl insults at Keanu, who he's seen with, his fans etc... As for your thread being hijacked, I'm not surprised. When *someone* doesn't get anough attention they seem to just jump in and post crap. Did you get all that? LOL Like FR said, I think things at one board should stay at one board and Chicks shouldn't have polls that just stir up stuff. It just gives certain people the attention they so crave. So basically Anakin rubbed a few people with the Chicks name wrong, for posting posts at the CK board at IMDB (or at least links to those posts became available), but she apologized and isn't involving herself anymore. As for the user with multiple ID's at the Katie Holmes board, that's just sad. I get the feeling it's not just KLM who has multiple user names. There are some that seem to change their names constantly. It wouldn't surprise me if some were from CK. It's just so I also think there is some spillover feud from years ago. I think it involves blossom and U Gossip. Who really knows? It's just nutz how long it seems to have gone on. You'd think people would move on. Yep! Again, I started off a thread - that had nothing to do with any of the madness of late - and all of a sudden it's full of posts by b-babe, about b-babe's connections and name-dropping hoo-haa's. I think maybe klm joined in too, and a few of those new chicks ones. I selected the option "this poster is flooding the board with the same message" but unfortunately, it's still there. The other thread I started re Anakin, and again I wanted to remove after it became the b-babe thread with over 100 posts - most of them by b-b, and about b-b - was removed for me! I got online the following night hoping to work out how to remove it, but someone had beaten me to the post! So I know it CAN be done (ie, having the whole thread taken down) but I don't know how. There is no option for it when you do a report  If I work it out, I'll report back here  | ||

They don't care about logic, they don't want to know the facts because their fiction is much more exciting to them. Unfortunately for us, they seem very eager to share their thoughts with the rest of the world Grrrrr!!! They are hijacking everyone's threads - some more aggressively than others - maybe this is their new method of attack? I can't keep up with the crap. One minute a certain youthful-blossom is "5 years out of high-school" and the next she is 35??? Must've been a mature aged student! | ||

I can see where Anakin is coming from just trying to understand different points of view and trying to debate logically, but it's just a no win situation. And it's beyond maddening that IMDB doesn't have a better system to ban certain posters. I'm still not sure about the deletion policy. I've only reported a couple of things and usually they get deleted. Strangely enough this morning I did try to get one of KLM/SAC posts deleted and it said thank you we already have enough complaints about this poster. The administrators will get to it in due time. Or something like that. She's spamming Erwin Stoff's (Keanu's manager) board with her garbage.  I put blossom on ignore, so I can't read the inane things that she says anymore. I seriously get a headache from reading her so called "posts." I noticed KLM/SAC would hijack threads a few months ago when she felt she wasn't getting enough attention. Now it seems the posters who really don't like her (their screen names change all the time, but I'm sure you know the ones) just keep posting to her and it just gets more and more insulting. Sometimes I think it's just a big game. Or else some of those posters are seriously messed up! I can't see how someone can write diatribe after diatribe about someone unless they were pretty unhappy themselves or mentally ill or just need the attention. Which is sad. And apparently Jennifer Lopez and Sarah Palin were the former victims of her wrath. Whatever. It's just such a waste of energy. Me reading it and them posting. | ||

But then the plan backfired, because KLM started 'friending' all the Chicks accounts so she could monitor them, saying things along the line of I'VE GOT YOU NOW HAHA and that when our names changed back to our original ones, she would know which posters had been against her from the start no matter what "lies" we told. She also said that she could get the police involved because of the child rape / incest posts that those people had been making, and that soon justice would be served and we Chicks perverts would get what was coming to us. KLM assumed that everyone whose name had changed to a Chicks variant was part of that group, because how else would everyone have suddenly changed their names at the same time? So I jumped in and told her that it had all just been part of a joke that I had helped to organise on IMDb, and that we were sorry, etc. I said that it was the idea of someone from CK, and that's where I made a mistake - I said it was Ginger's idea, instead of Winters, because I accidentally got their names mixed up. KLM then triumphantly went all out on a Ginger smear-fest, insulting her and calling her all sorts of names. Winters found out and blew up at me, saying that the Chicks thing was her idea, not Ginger's, and for getting poor Ginger wrongly accused by the crazy person KLM, when Ginger had had no part at all in the matter and didn't deserve to be dragged into the IMDb crapfest. So I told KLM that I had got the names wrong and that it had been Winters' idea instead of Ginger's. But KLM just took this to mean that Ginger must have scolded me for snitching on her and I was trying to backtrack on that, and so she simply continued her attacks, now reinforced with points about how the CK management was full of control-freaks and why did I listen to them. So as proof, I took a screenshot of the CK thread where Winters had said it was her idea, not Ginger's, and showed it to KLM. This then made a lot of IMDb CKers very angry because that screenshot was of the private board that KLM should have had no access to, and if I was just freely posting screenshots, who knew what could next end up on IMDb for KLM to tear apart? And Winters got even more pissed off at me because now KLM knew her CK username. Meanwhile KLM still was not convinced about anything, and went around sowing more discord. So yeah... that's kind of what happened. | ||

I missed all the furore, coming into it at the tail end, so - from what I could see - it sounded like some of the oldies / regulars were p'd off at and slagging you. Because I didn't know why, I assumed my worst nightmare had happened and the delinquents had finally won over the good guys with their lies and nonsense. I started the defence thread to remind the old-timers who it has been that has always posted the facts, not fiction, on that board. Unfortunately I was drowned out by 100+ b-babe replies about b-babe. I have to admit, I did pick a chick name too, but I didn't change my ID as you can still work out who's who from their old posts. I created a new id altogether but stuffed it up in the process. By the time I worked it out and had it to the way I wanted it, the party was all over. I have posted a couple of times under my Chick name, but only for the sake of arguing SAC's ridiculous comments under my alias as I refuse to talk to her as Wyley (sometimes it's so hard to bite my tongue!). A lesson I learned - in real life - is there is no reasoning with the unreasonable. No matter what you say, or what facts for proof, they will only believe what they want to believe. Sometimes they are so deep in their fantasy, the lies become their truth. TWO | ||
