There was also an episode in S4 in which Peter jumps onto and straddles Sylar to nail him to the ground with a nailgun. It has been giffed so many, many times to make it look as though they're... doing something else. :|

the series writers... meh. There is so much wank in fandom about the new writers in the later seasons and how Tim Kring ignored a bunch of non-white male characters in favour of more young blonde women who don't do anything much for the plot, and how the writers went along with that. :\\

But it's still a diverse group, and some of them are still kind of awesome and probably were slashing Petlar intentionally, yes. :|
