He's supposed to be holding this . . .

The famous holy shotgun from Constantine, which if you haven't seen it, I'd recommend it, because it's his best movie ever :)

If you want, I'll try to draw a better plushie version of the gun, I know that one is totally lame, and even looks kind of obscene if you think about it :D

Spark, I probably could, but it wouldn't look like that. It would more than likely look like a chibi version of it, but if you like I could give it a go.

I would LOVE a chibi Rinzler!!!!

*giggles* you guys are awesome.
Tangerine, I will give it a go. Probably give it a smiley face and everything!
Spark, no worries then. I will (at some point) make you a chibi rinzler.
Adrianna, I should be able to make something up from the DVD. Yeah, I own it, I just was a little worried it might've been something else from your drawing :P

@little marshmallows - thanks so much luv. I don't want you to be buried in plushie work :p If you get to it you get to it, if not, it's cool. Of course, let me know what you'd like in return for the coveted, soft, cottony, cuddly version of my precious John Constantine :)

You don't have to make the clarinet, little marshmellos. ;) I was just wondering if that was possible, since I've never seen one before.

...if you do make the clarinet, I dunno, what could I ever give you in return? Like Adrianna, ask for anything in return and I'll try to get it to you! :D

and I am very curious about that Constantine plushie. Can't wait to see what it looks like irl... you'll post pics, right? Right?

Spark Unfortunately they do take quite a long time for me to make as I do all the stitching by hand (not machine), but rest assured I will get around to it. :)
Adrianna No worries, cherub. It will end up being quite a while as I want it to be good. But, in between work and all that other fun stuff, he will get made. *grins*
Tangerine I think I'd quite like the challenge of making a clarinet plushie. I'm figuring it'd be very cute and more than likely have a face.
And, yes, I would of course post pics. I love showing off my creations. :P
Luca yes, it is quite, isn't it. :P

My comments are now disturbing you guys? Am I new here? :D

I'm sorry, Luca - I would never traumatize you unless you asked me to. Say the word and I will delete the scary comment :)

... unless I asked you to ? ahem. ;) :D

naw, leave the comment be. it's just that it depicts a very improbable alternate universe :D although, in the Hellblazer universe/s, stranger things have happened... ;) :D

Really? I'm not really familiar with the comic, but I've heard the movie really deviates from the story line which pissed off a lot of Hellblazer fans :/

I realize that a cuddly John Constantine sounds like an anachronism, but I when I watch the movie I always want to cuddle with him cuz he's so cute, plus - really tough break having lung cancer and going to Hell and all :(

well, the comics John Constantine is blond and looks like Sting :D plus he's not much of an exorcist; did only one exorcism in his life and even that went bad :\\
The script is based only on a six-issues series of the whole comics, and that was a pretty early one, dating from 1991... Plus, whoever gave the last rewrite to the script laid the Catholic themes a bit too thick ; the Hellblazer writers were never that reverent to the church. On top of everything, the comics Constantine wasn't looking for redemption; he was constantly walking the wire between heaven and hell, but driven by curiosity, need to know and fascination for the occult. And an incorrigible gambler ;) But what F.Lawrence and Keanu did with the character is simply amazing. They captured his very essence and added something special...

Some of the fans were pissed off because that's what fanboys usually do. And while I agree that the Constantine of Warner and Lawrence and Keanu is not exactly 'their' Constantine ( and here the question is which Constantine? Delano's? Ennis'? Jenkins'? strangely enough, the plot and the general feeling of the movie shares a lot of resemblances to a stand-alone graphic novel written by Mike Carey and published in 2004, just about when the movie was in post-production... talk about parallel development and art imitates art :D ) what that trio gives us is , like I said, the very essence of Constantine, seen through the dark mirror of Hwood ...
( does that make any sense ? :D :D )

anyway. 'Dangerous Habits', the series on which the movie script was loosely based, starts like this :

“I’m the one who steps from the shadow, all trenchcoat and cigarette and arrogance, ready to deal with the madness.
Oh, I’ve got it all sewn up. I can save you. If it takes the last drop of your blood, I’ll drive your demons away. I’ll kick them in the bollocks and spit on them when they’re down, and then I’ll be gone back into the darkness, leaving only a nod and a wink and a wisecrack.
I walk my path alone…
Who would want to walk with me ?

the movie did not deviate from that ;)

when I first watched the movie, did not know a thing about comic books, except that they existed. but never opened one. then I watched "Constantine" in a room with several people, mostly going 'huh?' 'what's that?' but at the end I was like who's that guy ? . 'Keanu Reeves' someone offered helpfully. 'I know that, stupid. I meant who's Constantine?' no-one knew, and I had to go browse the net and go the path of research because... because he can do that. get you intrigued and curious to the point of no return. both of them can do that... ;) :D
and that's how I discovered the magic world of comics and especially Hellblazer, which is something else even in the comics world. due to the movie. so would the fanboys please shut the hell up, the movie has its merits. :D

and it was the beginning of a beautiful obsession :D :D :D

but I don't know if I'd call John Constantine 'cute' ;)

PS - last thing and I'm outta here ; as for stranger things - in the latest issues of Constantine, John's getting married. no, I'm not joking.

Having done hand-stitching, I understand. Even though I'm not happy about waiting, I do understand.

@Luca, I guess I'm going to have to check out the comic series . . . ;)

but I don't know if I'd call John Constantine 'cute' ;)

Maybe I'm alone in this, but I think John Constantine is super cute :)
