Very true to the book but obviously different in some ways becasue of the different medium. I will write a full review later...have a very busy weekend so will not be able to post more fully till Monday. Needless to say Keanu was great. He nailed Chris. This was shown at the Sydney Film Festival so the audience were people who like indy sorts of movies...it was well-recieved...lots of laughter in the right places. A definite add to DVD collection when it comes out. I reread parts of the book this morning just to check how close it and the movie were...great! | ||

| Forum Posts: 4842 Comments: 381 Reviews: 13 | got the DVD. yesterday. watched the movie last night. but before writing any comments, I need to watch it again... at a first viewing, though... I had a feeling the narrative was lacking. at least in the first half of the movie. the strong points of the movie seem to be the dialogue , and the editing, and the characters- rather sketched than fully-fledged, and yet with hints and undertones of back stories we can only guess , but never know. except for Pippa's. | ||
