Not specifically this interviewer, I'm talking about all of those who talk to him and still come away puzzled.. Yeah, when he's blowing smoke at them, but when he actually feels like answering a question, how can they transcribe his command of the language and still wonder?

Pretty savvy observer, this one...

I'm actually not going to pick at this one - it's different in that the guy is making no bones about what he thinks and yet I don't think he's actually being personal - as in tear Keanu down personal. It's almost like the guy has a girlfriend who probably likes K and he's disgruntled about that ;).

It's an opinion piece rather than a critique, in a way - and almost subtly favorable. He's trotting out all of the 'cliches' and yet at the same time producing good stuff that's been said without trying to smack that down.

Kinda weird actually..

..the real problem in the movie industry. Getting the actors is nothing compared to getting the writers, directors and producers all on the same page :-/.

For writers 'critiquing' a fantasy industry they have surprisingly little imagination ;).
