Is it just my imagination?

2010-06-07 17:53

I have noticed that another forum, the Keanu Reeves board over at IMDb seems to go in cycles. Maybe I am just imagining that every so often it seems to almost completely devolves into a pointless mess of posts attacking Keanu and replies defending him, name calling and personal attacks making visiting there a waste of time because any new information on up comming movies just gets lost in the rubbish.

*sigh*
moving on now

Just out of honest curiosity

I grew up catholic, serious catholic. Fish on friday, church on sunday and confession once a month catholic. They don't bother me (I'm not catholic any more) but I can think of a few people who are just narrow minded enough to be outraged by them.

Kind of cute but I would not buy them or anything

*looking nervous*

Please throw anything at me for saying this but...

I kind of like the mystery, the fact that I don't know every detail of his life in minutia, is one very big reason why I like him as an actor. I don't want to know what colour underpants he is wearing and when his last bowel movement was :P

So if he loses his dignity and integrity and surrenders to the life of a publicity w h o r e. Please, please, please don't tell me!!

For me personally, I think in this instance ignorance is a fantasy guy who is a little bit Ted Logan, a dash of John Constantine and a pinch of Thomas 'Neo' Anderson

Just to show how some areas of the press like play with the perception of certain issues

Not passing judgement or any thing I just think the tabloid press might be making a bigger deal of the situation than may really be the case

The whole Sandra Bullock-thing.

Maybe he was also talking about James' children. I have always heard that they were close to Sandra and I can not imagine how hard it must be for them going through all of this
"Bram Stoker's Dracula" - but actually, Coppola's

2010-03-16 18:17

Someone help me out here, did I read an article somewhere which had an English history teacher/professor (or something) saying that for the time period Dracula was set in (Victorian Era London- Mid to late 1800's) that Keanu's mannerisms and accent as Jonathan Harker were actually pretty accurate for his social class and that most of the criticism was due people being more familiar modern british accents.
Jokes

2010-03-01 16:22

No exactly a joke but funny all the same. This is a true story

A man who won $15,200 on an airline scratchie will have his prize given to charity after he ate the ticket in protest.
Ryanair said the man ate the winning ticket after crew confirmed he had won the 10,000 Euro prize.
When the crew congratulated the winner and advised him how to claim his prize he apparently became upset they could not pay him in cash on the aircraft.
Now the prize is unclaimed the airline will offer the cash to charity.
The public can vote where the money goes from a list of charities including anger management programs and mental health organisations.
Ryanair's Stephen McNamara said the man's situation was unfortunate.
"Our latest winner felt that we should have his [prize] kicking around on the aircraft," he said.

A rare good review for Keanu in Dracula

http://www.moviesonline.ca/movienews_17700.html

Bram Stokers Dracula: As a rule Keanu Reeves is not known as an actors actor. He is more known for making guttural noises or playing a robotic and confused character as he did in The Matrix and the remake of The Day The Earth stood Still. Bram Stokers Dracula is probably one of the few good movies he did as an ‘actor’. As much as I am a fan of Keanus films Dracula is the only film where he really showed he could play a deeper role.

The film has an outstanding cast including Anthony Hopkins, Winnona Ryder ( who is one of the most gorgeous actors in Hollywood ) and Gary Oldman as Vlad! The film is an intense thrill ride with plenty of drama, lots of thrills and enough scares and bloody carnage to appeal to just about any fan of the Dracula lore!
