Don't take too much notice of what the bashers say about him. I don't take their nonsense seriously. They don't make sense. They contradict themselves. They bash him for being wooden. They say it is bad acting. Then they say he can't pull off playing an emotionless alien in TDTESS. I am confused. They say he plays Ted in every movie. They are not very perceptive. They need an eye test and a good pair of glasses.
You can't argue with them because they think they know more about the art of acting than you but in fact they don't have a clue. They don't know what they're talking about.

I have seen KR movies. I don't know much about him. I was shocked to learn that he is the most insulted actor. I wouldn't rate him a great actor like Robert de Niro but he CAN act. He is not perfect. He has done some bad performances but it doesn't mean he can't act or he is the worst actor on this planet. I have read your blog about the different kinds of 'fish'. It is all true. Some of those people don't like his acting style or can't stand the sight of him but they watch his movies. That doesn't make sense. I have also read the 'wall of shame'. Those people don't make any sense at all. Their comments are childish and ignorant. It is obvious that they didn't bother to do some research and get their facts straight.
Unfortunately Keanu is not the only famous person to get insults. Someone bashed Sam Worthington for not being American on the IMD.com forum. According to that poster, an all American actor should have been cast for the role of Marcus Wright in 'Terminator Salvation'. An Aussie actor shouldn't be in an American movie. You can be bashed for anything, not only for your acting. Sad, but true.

I admit I perceived him as dull and emotionless. I thought: 'my god, he is not fun to watch'. I got it all wrong. There is no such thing as 'emotionless'. I read an interesting post on KR Net about non verbal communication and the inability of some people to read it. I admit I am not good at decoding it. The actor doesn't show his emotions in a movie. They are there but they are not obvious so it is hard for some people to figure out what he feels.
Now I understand some of his characters are not required to emote. Keanu has to play them that way. A lot of people think it is bad acting or inability to act. It is not.

I enjoyed reading your blog. I couldn't help laughing when reading Keanu haters'comments about his acting. 'He can't pull off playing an emotionless and monotonous alien' is my favourite.

I know he can't please everybody like any other celebrity. I can't believe some people who are supposed to be adults can write abusive comments about him. What has he done to be treated like that?

Anyway, Kudos for a great site! I look forward to delving into it deeper at a later time. I’ll be around.
