| Very interesting website. I have read hateful comments about Keanu. Don't take them seriously. Ignore those ignorant moronic trolls who keep posting childish nonsense about him. He may not be the most gifted actor but he is all right to me. He can't be worse than Jean Claude Van Damme or Steven Seagal. Just because he doesn't emote a lot or hasn't done anything outstanding doesn't mean he is the worst actor ever. They keep mentioning his Razzie nominations and his lack of Oscars to prove their point. Movie awards don't mean anything. Do they know some Academy Award winning actors have also been nominated for a Razzie or won a Razzie? Many people say he plays Ted or Neo in every movie. That doesn't make any sense. He plays Ted in the 'Bill and Ted's adventures' movies only and Neo in the three 'Matrix' movies only. Those people have poor observation skills or they don't understand what type of character he plays in movies. Some of his performances come off as flat but I suppose he has to act like that depending on the type of character he plays, the plot and the script. Even he is boring at times, his subtle acting is better than overacting. I don't like Jim Carrey's overacting. Over the top and irritating. I wouldn't bother trying to convince Keanu haters he is a good actor. You will never win. Whatever you say they will never take you seriously. After all, everyone is entitled to their opinion, even if what they say is stupid, ignorant or doesn't make any sense. I would simply say to them: 'If you don't like Keanu's acting don't watch his movies. Simple as that. He doesn't make you buy a cinema ticket to see his movies or buy his movies on DVD. What's your problem?' |

| Hi, Do you have a copy of the Keanu article from the Chicago Sun-Times August 27, 2006, by Paige Wiser (link here: http://www.highbeam.com/doc/1P2-1640831.html). I can not access it because I do not want to become a member of that site. Also I am not living in the USA so I have no physical access to things like library microfiche newspaper records kinds of things. Thanks :) |
