Yeah, Luca, (there is also a "black" one in nature too :D ;).
Mine is "Very Very White", like K's bone ;D

Dunno if you guys want to see a scanned version of Ode to Happiness. For those who do, it's out on To Keanu With Love:

I am hoping that this won't stop anyone from supporting Our Man's lyrical endeavours by buying the book. From a fan viewpoint it is definitely a collector's item.

thanks for the link. until I get my own copy of the book, it's nice to watch those scans.
... my favorite part is still 'when the hue has gone blue' maybe 'cause it's the only colored part of the book.
and I love the irony of it all even more ;)

Thanks for the link, Ink - It's been great to be able to see the scans.
It's a beautiful art-book!

oh thx alot for sharing those copies...

i dun wanna look like that i swoon over everything he does :D but damn.. i like that preview of the book.. i guess people who connect with those feelings of him , would appreciate it more . which im one of them .. i loved the whole concept of it , that theres no need to over-analyse these kind of feelings , coz after all u just feel them as simply as it was written.. and i was impressed by the end of that section which says ," it can always be worse" ..

thanks again :)

I wonder if it's his handwriting. Anyone know how he writes in allcaps?

I wondered that too inkhuldra. And there is no punctuation at all.

I don't think it's he wrote it. Well, I guess maybe he did, if he wrote really slowly, but... eh.

No idea. Didn't someone here at WINM post a link to an autograph? I've been trying to find it to check but didn't succeed :(

It says Janey edited - perhaps she was the one copied K's text?

Not saying he couldn't have done, just difficult to see him sitting still long enough to do it :D.

got it. the book. collected it from the post office today. kept smiling all day. a child with a new toy. a collector that just obtained a long-awaited item :D

yes, it's very simple. a few sheets of paper, tied together with black thread and put in a case of ash-grey canvas... the look of a home-made book :D
and yet. there's a 'catch' to all this. the details converge to create a special whole. can't find the word for it.

and yes, if one reads only the verses, they seem uber-simple. they are simple. but if you read them one by one, one on each page, each one with its 'explicative' drawing... it's something else. the ink-on paper drawings, the lettering, as if written with a quill. the hue gone blue, the only color in those gray tones. a misery room = a cube with a sad Gerty face.
Yes, I have seen the scans before. but actually holding the book in my hands, feeling its texture, perceiving its tones and hues... a totally different experience.
At least it is to me.

It is just the same way for me Luca. Something to pull out and go through when the hue has gone blue... Congrats on your acquisition!

congrats LucaM!

maybe it's my kevin lomax's mind but I don't think it's a good idea publish the entire book on line... few pages could be a kind of publicity for the book but entire not...
in any way I think who wants to get the book is not stopping because the images are avalaible on the net.

I like the idea that the only color of the book is that line blue...and "blue" has a double meaning... I like also the ending line of the book... bitter, ironic and realist. and it makes me remember this quote: The optimist proclaims that we live in the best of all possible worlds; and the pessimist fears this is true.

IMHO it's sometimes better to see these events on vid or pics. And we have the book already :) Remember?
