As promised, here are some of the photos from my recent trip.

These were taken in St Augustine Florida. The set will be updated, hopefully through out the week as I go through the shots.

Thank you and you're quite welcome. Have to add more to the set, once updated will let y'all know.

St Augustine is oldest city in the US and that fort was first started in the 1500s

Ahhh Luca

@axie - your daughter's reaction was priceless :) and sweet :)
just a guy in a suit, huh ? ;)

To be exact her words were "Just a random-normal guy in a suit" It is indeed very sweet and it is great fun teasing her.
It wasn't like she didn't recognize him she just was being oblivious [as we know the apple didn't fall far from the tree...]

Despite, an introduction and handing shaking even, she was still busy looking all over the place and paying little attention to the man her mother was talking to. Heh.

So one of the things I teased her about is that just because someone is well known doesn't mean they have a neon sign over their head flashing "I'm a celebrity - stand back" well Kanye might get one of those but Reeves? Never. Hehe

@Luca you know you don't even have to ask! It's a given I'd take you.

@Neaura Thanks. The place is famous and probably there are documentaries on the Castillo de San Marcos. It's made of coquina; compressed shells that make excellent building material. St Augustine was a Spanish city in the Spanish territory of Florida. Just north of here, in Savannah Georgia was where King George had James Oglethorpe create a colony to prevent the Spanish from moving further north.
At one time, Oglethorpe [Savannah is 2hrs north by car] and his ships came down from Savannah and 'shelled' the fort for 7 straight days. Didn't make a single dent.
Coquina as it turns out acts like a sponge, absorbing and dispersing the force of the canon balls causing them to just fall to the ground.

The Castillo de San Marcos was never taken in a battle. It only *ever* traded hands peacefully by treaty.

I'm hardly a history buff nor is my daughter but all my holidays center around the historic sites. From Key West to Savannah to New Orleans and Mississippi. She just got an A+ in History on her interim report card and she wonders why...Lol.

Yeah, I just saw that. How awful and scary for him! How crazy!

Going into a celebrity's house - f***, anyone's house! - uninvited WHILE THEY'RE SLEEPING is insane and horrifying, not to mention criminal.

Walking up to the house? I wouldn't do it, but it is in a public location. That's one thing. Going INSIDE? Jesus. Anybody who thinks that's OK needs to get professional help right now. Yeah, and ringing the doorbell? Nope, not OK. Leaving a note outside? I don't think that's wrong. Unwanted personal contact just makes me freaked out and sad too. I hope she gets help. She needs it. I hope he's OK. That's just not right.

@axie: Thanks a lot for the info! I'm an information junkie. I didn't get to read much of American History. Just bits and pieces of International history, It was mostly Indian which I of course loved, but this is really educational. So, thank you!
and PS: Congrats to your daughter for acing History :D

The breaking-in incident is super disturbing. I can understand curiosity or the need or want to connect with an idol or a celebrity or whoever it is but this is creepy. Shouting out from the street, clicking pictures of the house from the outside and the like is kind of acceptable. Breaking in??!! There is an imaginary line that no one should cross, she just did. Hope she gets some help if it is a psychological thing

Indeed. God bless him. He understands this. I think he's a kind and wise soul. That does not make the behavior OK. Any time I see someone online with that kind of possessive "soulmate" language - and it's not that common at all - it freaks me out.

Frankly, I don't give too much credit to anything posted by TMZ.
If it were reported by another, more legit source, I might believe the story.
Also, what a coincidence that it's posted today. As in, the very day John Wick premieres at Fantastic Fest.

Yeah, that's a good point, Luca, although if it's a publicity move by someone, that's kind of uncool. Oh Hollywood.
Not sure there's been confirmation by a third party.

But if true, distressing.

I didn't say it's positive publicity...

best way to verify it were if a journo asked about the incident, today at the festival.
we shall see/hear.

well, ABC7 reported it as the police being called there around 5AM, so apparently it is true.

http://abc7.com/entertainment/woman-trespasses-at-keanu-reeves-home-police-say/315608/

interestingly, another "fan" reported that a fan had made it up as a joke. now THAT is pretty sick.

And the uk branch of E!Online says it happened last Friday, not Monday

http://uk.eonline.com/news/580894/keanu-reeves-subdues-female-intruder-in-his-home-library-report

So until we hear some comments on this from the wyld stallyn's mouth... I'll take all these articles with a handful of salt (because there is no spoon, duh. ;) )
