He shook my hand, asked for my name, suggested that we take a photo, asked to make sure the photo was good and then HUGGED me me I’m happy because I felt that I was able to brighten his day (look at that laugh!) the way he brightened mine. . . . My selfie with Keanu a couple weeks ago went viral but my intimate conversation with him blew that out of the water. He spent a good 2 minutes engaging with me. After our chat, he signed my sequined Keanu pillow case (inspired by @aliwong) and dedicated it to my cousin @angelala24 and I (he asked how to spell our names to make sure it was spelled right) “Angela Christine, all my best, x Keanu Reeves, 2020. Didn’t think I could love and admire this man even more. . . . bruce.chong Only a few people know this, but this was taken during my first time on a movie set. As a 90's kid, I loved action and grew up watching his films and remember thinking ''It'll be cool to tell him he’s awesome one day''. That day came, and as you could imagine, I was certainly starstruck when we met for the first time. What stood out for me beyond his fame, was his character and humility - how incredibly down-to-earth he was. Not only did he take the time to chat, he offered to help me take a photo. Little did he know, this interaction later inspired me to go after a career in acting, and over time, I landed my first acting job. Being kind, respectful and patient goes a long way. He resonated with my excitement being on-set and years later, I realised the significance of how words or actions create ripple effects in someone else's life - to take a moment before we interact as you never know how it could inspire the next person. Thank you Keanu - you truly deserve the title of being one of the nicest guys in Hollywood. Was there ever a time someone impacted you? | ||
