Does anyone recall - Keanu mentions a movie in the 90s where he had a tear put in his eye digitally in post, and how upset he was about that - which film was that? A Walk In The Clouds? Sweet November? He says he now requests in his contract that he have approval of digital image manipulation.

I think he says in Side By Side - "early 90's" - seems to me that was "A Walk In The Clouds," but I would have thought he'd have had a lot less creative control at that time.

Completely Virtual Neo in the Burly Brawl takes me out of the movie, the first moment I saw it. I'm perfectly happy with it in situations where the actor - or stuntperson - is in actual danger (the subway fight when Darko - I think - crashes into the booth). But to do the digital effect "just because we can" seems the opposite of creative process to me.

It's fascinating, and in my opinion, most commendable, that in Side By Side Keanu only occasionally comments, but when he does, he is VERY emphatic.
