Did I mention how nice it would be to have Reeves doing commentary from beginning to end without anyone else? On the blu-ray dvd 2 disc set that includes all the footage shot, including rehearsals and outtakes. It would be nice. :)

OK, I finally got my commentary, thank you everyone concerned, and the extras are very wonderful. I can live without the blu-ray. I can almost live without the frontal nudity, I think.

I thought at first that perhaps he was just a really awkward guy, caught in a mid-life crisis and had been driving escorts around for years. Incapable of mature relationships, sort of caught off guard by how strong-willed Violet was...maybe even had a bit of a past with her. But now I feel that John suffers from a form of Autism or Aspergers, after somebody here pointed out the "medication" line on the check his mother sends to him. And that explains so much....his need for "clarity" in his life, and finding it through the camera lens rather than conventional means.

God, every time I watch this film I just find more and more layers...I firmly believe this film deserves way more attention than it's gotten. It's just disturbingly brilliant.
