I don't think they show the movie at comicon. They just promote it there with a clip or trailer and a open conference Q&A with the cast and director. The SanDiego Comicon is in July. But there are other comicons around the country.

In spite of the special radio voice, I have my doubts about the movie - doubts I didn't have a few months ago. But I will watch it nevertheless. Because of that voice ;)

What doubt? Keanu is going to be riding on a horse and doing amazing things with his sword and there will be many thrilling special effects and in the end...well we will be weeping but it will be a catharsis of sorts. Then we will go home and write wonderful things about the movie on the internets and when it comes out on dvd we will buy it and watch it over and over and notice many little things we did not see at first or understand at first. See? No doubts :) All good.

@LucaM, yes we can all put that on our wish list. I have an idea that Mr Reeves has it on his wish list too. :)

@Chiara I am glad you might see the simplicity for us!

@LucaM, ya mean that about reeves wish list? Because he is usually just the artist or the talent and the movie belongs to someone else to fuck with as they see fit. However there is nothing any of them can do to screw up the magical presence he has on screen. And, oh happy days! Now he is directing and writing!
I will shut up now. Be grateful. :)

This is a normal thing for the movie industry? I understand nothing, damn... They are afraid of losing money?

This is the important part of that article

In addition, the studio added a love scene, close-ups and individual lines to boost Reeves' presence.

More Keanu is good.

@tini4, the studio is always afraid of losing money. Usually they don't pull the movie from the director altogether... but it sounds like a done deal. Agree with LucaM, the source is iffy.

I can't help noticing that everyone and their pets quote as only source The Wrap and their mysterious 'individual close to production' .

Wanna bet how many such stories will be published in the next 12 months?

In the end, bleeding cool says it better:
Several films of the story already exist, and a number of them are pretty good. DVD copies of Mizoguchi’s 2-part telling are relatively sparse, but well worth looking for; not quite so rare, and certainly more commonly screened on TV, is Chushingura with Toshiro Mifune.

Neither is in 3D, neither has CG, neither features a Hollywood star, and neither is going to be much talked about, advertised on bus stops or cropping up on a spread of big-name movie blogs in the next few months. Funny how this all works sometimes, isn’t it?

Yes it is funny. And not funny ha ha. If we go with the idea that everything works out exactly as it was intended by the universe it is much easier to be chill. Of course we are wanting to see more of reeves therefore we want him to have a blockbuster with every movie.
This one is set up for blockbuster and that is why they hired Reeves in the first place. Marginalizing his part was not likely to fly with the studio, ever, so why that happened is what I am wondering at this point? I am seeing a vast dance with Reeves and the studios here. He wont do it unless he has input. His input wants a more ensemble piece. Inexperienced director hired that will listen to Reeves input about the ensemble idea. (Not experienced but well connected let's say). This director might have been a sacrificial lamb so they could get Reeves to do it? Just a theory.

A lot of them sound as if they didn't even READ the little bit of nearly nothing in The Wrap. And thats only the english language articles. The non english ones are blowing things all out of proportion as well. I can only think of chicken little...the sky is falling the sky is falling!
