| Forum Posts: 2836 Comments: 74 Reviews: 11 | Keanu Reeves movie to film in Shepperton By Becky Middleton May 05, 2011 SHEPPERTON Studios has won planning permission to build an external film set for Keanu Reeves' new film 47 Ronin. Members of Spelthorne Borough Council's planning committee voted unanimously on Wednesday (April 27) to approve the retrospective application to use the backlot site of the studios as an external film set for six months. The studios have until the end of October 2011 to complete the filming. There is already a substantial structure on the site. Shepperton Studios made alterations to an original planning application after it was originally recommended for refusal by Spelthorne Borough Council planners. One nearby resident, who wished to remain anonymous, said: “It looks like the studios had special circumstances to be approved. "They are doing very well and generating business for Britain. "Many of the productions they have in this year and last year are big productions from the States, and American money coming in to our economy is great.” | ||

As for the monks... I guess there's a place for them in this retelling of the story as well. | ||

I suppose they'll be using locations that are historical and too expensive to replicate. Wonder where that will be. | ||
