Yes, let's put it in the archive. True it doesn't say anything new, but what it says, and the way it's said ... it makes a change!

I like the end:

"An actor who was Ted and was Hamlet (and clearly was Neo...) has, by definition, a pretty wide range - and lot of talent."

don't you?

that one's definitely for the archive. many thanks for the link :)

... and it's Don John , people and journalists. It was the Deppster who played Don Juan, and that was a completely different kind of animal ;)

I, too, have a soft spot in my heart for Don John. I'd love to tickle him and make him laugh. :-)

I'd love to tickle him and make him laugh

I think that was what Benedic wanted to do with him at the end of the film, when he was speaking about tomorrow's punishment.:D Poor John!

It IS a dog breed. One famous for its playfulness.
It's 'Keanu sarcasm'; you have to read most of his interviews in that key ;) :D

actually, Belfast Telegraph took a few of K's lines from the Elle interview in November and made it look like a new article... journalism integrity, huh? :D
the original interview is here, dog quote and all

Thanks, Luca:) journalism integrity - indeed! When I read this I had a feeling that I had seen it already, but remembered where only after your post.Do you know all the articles in the archive by heart?Whoa!I did read that article for ELLE too and very attentively (I thought so).Shame on me!!!
Maybe I'm annoying, but one more question, please!
When he said <> or <> how would you translate <> and << new happiness>> ( it's my translation trouble already). I just thought the words <> and <> don't suited to the word <>.Enlighten me, please!

no, not all the articles, only a few that caught my attention, because they offer tiny glimpses of the man behind the actor ;)

frankly, I think <> could be a typing mistake; I guess it could be 'how do I live without any happiness?' but it was typed like this in the source article, I didn't see the printed version and English is not my first language so... maybe I'm wrong.

as for 'the new happiness' I guess he refers to the concept of 'happiness' all self-help books are trying to sell lately... a self-imposed happiness, established by a set of criteria , which we all must reach following a 30 days step-by-step plan...
... or maybe I've just read too many self-help books lately :\\
I guess he's mocking the all-American belief that there's a receipt, a ready-made solution for everything. And that everyone should live by the same rules.
But that's just how I read it.

And I think you read it quite right!Yes, I thought about <> too( it suited much more). And you really helped with <>. Most likely he meant self-help books(I don't read them, maybe I should start?)But you know what I started to do after reading one article in the archive?Keanu said that every morning he says thank you to God or to universe(don't remember)for at least five things he has in his life.Anakin wrote the article was fake and added for fun but I think anyway that is a good (I would say clever) thing to do.Every morning you remember how much good life has given to you, that gives happiness, makes stronger.Just like in Richard Bach's novels. You know I tried and found that it works (and I have more than five things to thank for).
That's why I want to understand every word he says right.
P.S.Às to his <> they frighten me a little.he is too sarcastic, I have the impression that he keeps himself in a vice and does not relax even for a moment.Defending?

Richard Bach... been meaning to read his novels, but didn't find the time yet. Too much to read, too little time... story of my life :(
And all the other articles online which took over the original one keep the same phrasing, "with any happiness", so I guess we have to rethink that one ... :\\

Too sarcastic? don't know; maybe; it doesn't seem so to me. But then, 'the Keanu humor' is an acquired taste ; it did seem a bit harsh to me in the beginning, but after reading about 70% of the articles in the archive and almost all his interviews... I got used to it. One thing I've noticed is that, as one journalist so adequately wrote, 'he doesn't suffer fools gladly'. And lately this seems to be the norm. An interviewer /journalist asks a silly question, he gets a Constantine-like answer. ;) :D But if the interviewer is prepared, knows her/his stuff and asks pertinent questions about K's work, he opens up like a flower and talks animated about the process of story-telling-movie-making-magic...
And I've grown to appreciate his rather dark humor.

Defending ? wouldn't think so ; rather deflecting.
