Well, he's a bit lacking in the coat department, seer. I'd rather show him as a shorthaired sighthound. Considering his oftentimes scruffy hair and beard, I think I'd enter him as a rough coated Spanish galgo. Then again, considering his lineage (he's a mutt, really), I don't think the judges would let us enter him at all. We'd better enter him in coursing events as a lurcher. ;-)

Edit: If Keanu (as Henry) was a sloughi, he'd look like this:

Irene MacDougall interview with minimal-but-cute Keanu content:

And then for something entirely different, lets add this article from Junkfood Cinema: A Decade of Guilty Pleasures, including a review-of-sorts of The Replacements, which the writer is fairly nice to in comparison to many of the other movies reviewed in the article:

I don't think you swatted it hard enough. I tried, too, but with very little luck. :-/

Well, Todd Hill, *I* want to do physical harm to your rotten fish head. Argh.

Mr Hill's opinions of the films he lists tells more about him than about them ;).

And that Bobby B at Detroit4lyfe is a sad fish for sure, not satisfied with dissing K, must diss WinM too. So typical of those that really don't have anything to say, just want to noise off.

I wonder if these fish ever bother to analyze the reason and/or depth of their dislike of someone that they don't know and will never meet? On the flip side of course are those who fanatically 'love' a person they don't know and will never meet :D.

Are so many people really so happy with being part of 'the herd'? Has individuality become an endangered species?

Ink that's a beautiful baby! I love that 'sand and sable' color :).

Gave a long swat.

As for Todd Hill: TLH made perfect sense if you've seen enough time travel movies and bothered to work it out. He should not blame his lack of ability to understand a film on the film itself.

Yes, he's really beautiful, and also a master at what he does -> hunt. Dunno how many mice he has killed. And chickens and rabbits, too. And a mink. But no birds except for the chickens. His dad would jump straight up in the air and catch small birds as they took off from a bush.

But, to get on-topic again: I wonder what it is that the critics see in Keanu that make them so intensely hostile towards him. It's not just a general dislike, it's a raging, granite-shattering hatred. Why? Why??

It's the bandwagon effect. Snowballing. Starts small, then it builds up, and no one remembers why it started in the first place.

no, I think it's "the Keanu effect". One can't remain indifferent to K, usually it's an either/or type of reaction. And I guess said reaction depends on the person's inner workings ;)

Film critics / reviewers are , mostly, 'talkers'. K's a 'doer'. He's everything they're not. Guess that explains the reactions ;)

I think you are all right - it's probably a combination of all these plus an extra resentment towards him for not playing the celebrity game or whatever.

....aaaaand they probably also resent him for looking better than them, as well as being intelligent and charming, and thus being much more likely to attract the interest of women. Which I bet those guys struggle with in their own lives. Chronically.

FYI: Bobby B just signed up at WINM.

It's a bit of a cop-out, though, because the Keanu-hate is far from limited to gynephiliacs. There are gay guys and straight women and asexuals and other people who also display similar sentiments at similar degrees of intensity.

Sorry I don't share your (creepy?) obsession over Keanu Reeves , but talking poorly of me behind my back? Now that's sad... Please refer to #1 of your comment guidelines. Thanks.
