And I believe that Keanu is clever enough not to take part in all this ridiculous Matrix stuff even if they are going to make it.Neo is dead, it's over!!!Forgive me if it was cruel to my beloved Neo but the story got its logical end good or bad.I don't want my favourite movie become an endless soup opera like "Lost"!!!

I think Donna is right - it would somehow spoil the trilogy.

BTW, see what I found on YouTube:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cCk82oMBGF8

It's fan-made, but a very, very good trailer of the Matrix trilogy.

... now maybe I'm slow today ( heck, it's Sunday :D) but does this mean Spaihts is working on yet another space adventure project?
which are the chances it will be shelved?
... don't answer that :(

This is a good article - I agree with the first paragraph word by word.
Thanks!

okay... got Steven Mueller's 'Almost Famous' book. Read it. It's not so much about the entertainment world, as it is a very condensed biography of the author himself. It's about his life, his choices, his battles, his losses and victories... The title is well chosen, it reminded me of the movie :)
It also reminded me why I'll never meet any famous people, let alone my favorite actor : because I lack the will, determination and apparent madness required to make it happen. :(

Anyway, the Keanu content, little as it is, as follows:
In early 1996 [...] I soon met actor Keanu Reeves, who was in Chicago for a number of months filming the movie Chain Reaction. Although I ran into him quite by accident, we eventually got to know one another and became close friends. For the next five months we hung out together on an almost daily basis.

I began to accompany Keanu to the set of his film, which at that time was centered near the Michigan Avenue Bridge in downtown Chicago. It was early February, and the temperatures were dangerously cold. Filming would generally begin late in the evening, once the city was sleeping, and continue until sunrise next morning. He had a small trailer tucked away under an adjacent street and would attempt to take catnaps in between scenes. Nearby were wardrobe and make-up trailers. On several occasions I bumped into the film's co-stars, Morgan Freeman and Fred Ward, both of whom were quite pleasant to me. I would generally watch most of the production and shuttle Keanu back and forth from his hotel at the Four Seasons. One time I asked him where he lived, and he replied that he didn't own a home. "You don't?" I asked.

"Well, no, I can't afford the type of house I'd want", he replied.

"But what do you do with these gifts that I sometimes see fans giving you?" I inquired.

"I usually keep them in my room. Sometimes people give me books to read. I keep them and then when I move on, I ship everything to my sister's house in Minnesota," he said.

At the time, there were all sorts of rumors in the media that Keanu was either gay or bisexual. I can say with 100% certainty this was not the case. Some nights he'd bring a girl with him, and she would accompany us to clubs, bars, and the like. Other times, his band, Dogstar, would fly into town and perform at a local venue. Keanu also enjoyed sports, especially hockey, so a Blackhawks game or a Cubs game were among the favorite destinations. One night, while watching a band called Love & rockets perform at the Metro, I offered to buy the usual round of drinks. "I can get it myself, Steve," he replied. Much to his credit, he walked over and attempted to buy his own drink. He was quickly recognized, however, and retreated to the relative safety of our table after being besieged by fans.

My friendship with Keanu led me to meet many other celebrities and industry people, which would pay huge dividends for me in the future. One night he introduced me to Dennis Rodman, the notorious "bad boy" of the world-champion Chicago Bulls.

[...] That summer, life was certainly fun and exciting, but it wasn't paying my bills. Since I was not yet involved with the entertainment industry on a professional level, I decided to take a "normal" job in the shipping department of a nearby clothing store in order to make ends meet. Every Monday morning I'd go into work and people would ask me how the my weekend was. "Oh it was great!" I'd reply.

"What did you do?" they asked.

"Well, Friday I picked up Keanu Reeves and we went out and had some drinks. Then on Saturday I had dinner with Jenny McCarthy. And Sunday I spent the evening bulshitting with Sharon Stone," I would say. No sooner had I finished responding than my co-workers would look at one another and burst out laughing.

"Oh, and let me guess, you're going to the Metallica concert next week and probably getting backstage passes too, right?" they giggled sarcastically.

"Actually, I am. They happen to be good friends of mine," I replied matter-of-factly. "I'm personal friends with almost every rock band on earth, so I'm really lucky in this respect." Laughter broke out from all around as they rolled their eyes in disbelief. But what was so hard to believe, I wondered? I had been doing things like this for almost every weekend for years. Were their lives so mundane and boring that they found it inconceivable that anyone could do something interesting? I wasn't sure, but I became increasingly convinced that I was meant for so much more. It wasn't that I was being arrogant or looking down upon people like that, either. Quite the contrary, they were the ones mocking me, not the other way around. And it was becoming more than a little annoying!

The following Monday morning I went into work and my manager was wearing his Metallica shirt that he had purchased at the concert the night before. With a grin of satisfaction I handed him a large envelope and said "Go ahead, open it!" As he opened the envelope, he pulled out a series of large 8x10" photos of yours truly hanging out with the members of Metallica the night before. "Oh, here's the one of me and the singer, James Hetfield, when we went to dinner afterwards!" I gloated. He looked perplexed as he stared at the photos in silence. "And I also wrote you a note," I said, as I flipped one of the photos over to reveal a comment that I had written across the back: "Have fun packing boxes for the rest of your life. I quit!" With that, I simply smiled at him, tossed my uniform into the corner and walked out. Keanu had offered me a paying job as his personal assistant. Finally, I was on my way !"

well, that didn't last very long, as Mueller didn't leave Chicago and in 1997 he was touring with Motley Crue. But in the summer of 2002 he established Mueller Entertainment , an entertainment-based public relations firm. And the book does include a beautiful shot of the house on the lake used as a prop for, of course, The Lake House. But not a word about Mueller's involvement, not even adjacent, in that movie. what happens in Chicago, stays in Chicago ;)

Anyway. it's been an educative reading.

And together with the book I've got a signed note from the author. On Four Seasons stationery. gotta love the irony ;) :D

I'm slow this morning (it's VERY early here) so could someone kindly refresh me on which egg that was that Keanu hatched from? :D

Believing the above quoted gentleman is fairly easy for me - and likely for many of you as well - how many times have you found yourself serendipitously in the right place at the right time - and just exactly where you shouldn't expect to be or indeed belong? The Ether does indeed work in mysterious ways ;).
